The new high speed glass coverslipping machine RCM 7000 assures consistent bubble-free dispensing of the mounting media at a high quality standard.
Its high technology brings both high speed and reliable coverslipping to a new generation of coverslipping machine. The RCM 7000 will allow you to significantly speed up the coverslipping process used in histopathology research and specimen preparation.
Fast Coverslipping
- The process time of the RCM 7000 is approximately 8 sec/slide
- It processes up to 400 slides per hour
- With a seven-step speed adjustment you can choose the processing speed that meets your requirements
Adjustable Coverslipping Pressure
- The coverslipping pressure can be adjusted depending on the type of specimen
- The speed and dispensing volume of mounting media can be adjusted as well
- Air bubbles during coverslipping are avoided
Slide by Slide Process
- In the RCM 7000 the slides carrying the samples are picked up individually one by one, assuring exact positioning
- This technology minimizes the risk of damage to the sample in case of an emergency stop of the machine, such as power failure
- Slides are conveniently stored in a rack as soon as the coverslipping process is completed

Coverglass Storage
The RCM 7000 has an increased coverglass storage capacity.
It will store up to 200 pcs.
This reduces the number of times required to refill the coverglass case thus saving time.
 - 2. Dispensing mounting media on slide glass
Flexibility
Line Drop and Point Drop Operations are available
Selectable type of dispensing (line or point) depending on the size and thickness of the specimen.
The dispensing volume can be changed from 25% to 250%.
 - 3. Coverslipping
Compatibility
Commercial Coverglass and Mounting Media applicable
Most commercial coverglasses and mounting media can be used*.
There is no need in most cases to put the media into another bottle or container.
*Please consult your dealer for available coverglass and mounting media qualities.

Coverslipping Status and Error Alarm
The RCM 7000 alerts when it runs out of coverglasses, a coverglass is broken, or the storage racks are full of processed slide glasses.
An alarm sounds and the LCD starts flashing.

Safety:
Front door and hood have to be closed before operating the RCM 7000. When opened during the operating procedure the instrument stops automatically to protect the user against xylene steam.
